Records that are created, received, or maintained by the Coulter Faculty Center are confidential personnel records. Such records pertain to professional development and teaching effectiveness and are for internal Center purposes. The records are confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties unless disclosure is required by law or the faculty member consents to the disclosure of records by signing a written authorization. Such records will not be used for tenure, reappointment, promotion, or disciplinary purposes without the faculty member's consent. However, the department head and dean together can authorize administrative review in certain limited circumstances where the disclosure of records is essential to maintain the integrity of the department of university (for example, investigations involving fraud or misrepresentation.)
