Faculty Research and Creative Activities Award
The Faculty Research Award provides four awards of $5,000 each for support of research and creative activities.
Requirements
- The recipient(s) must spend the money during the upcoming fiscal year. Funds will be available after 7/1/2012.
- The funds may be used for any purpose consistent with University policies except instructional improvement or pedagogical studies.
Eligible
- Internal awards are open to all tenured and tenure-track faculty, regardless of discipline, methodology, or area of scholarship. Applicants should indicate whether they would like to be evaluated using the creative arts or research criteria.
Application
- Application Due Date: 1/17/2012 by 5 p.m.
- Complete a Faculty Research and Creative Activities Award application form and be sure to mark the "research" or "creative activity" category.
- Preference will be given to applicants seeking external sponsored research awards.
- Send original application to Research Administration, 110 Cordelia Camp Building and an electronic copy to ashe@email.wcu.edu
Evaluation:
- The Awards Sub-Committee of the Faculty Scholarship Advisory Committee will review the applications and transmit recommendations to the dean of Graduate School and Research. Applications will be evaluated using these forms and criteria.
- Preference will be given to applicants seeking external sponsored research awards.
