The Faculty Research Grant provides five awards of $5,000 each for support of research and creative activities.
Requirements
Requirements
- The recipient(s) must spend the money during the upcoming fiscal year. The funds will be available July 1, 2009.
- The funds may be used for any purpose consistent with University policies except instructional improvement or pedagogical studies.
Eligible
- Internal grant awards are open to all tenured and tenure-track faculty, regardless of discipline, methodology, or area of scholarship. Applicants should indicate whether they would like to be evaluated using the creative arts or research criteria.
Ineligible
- Past recipients in last five years
Application
- Application Due Date: January 9, 2009 5:00 PM EST
- Complete a Faculty Research and Creative Activity Grant application form and be sure to mark the "research" or "creative activity" category.
- Send original application to John Hawes, Project Specialist, Research Administration, Cordelia Camp Building and an electronic copy to jhawes@email.wcu.edu
Evaluation:
- The Awards Sub-Committee of the Research Council will review the applications and transmit recommendations to the dean of Graduate School and Research. Applications will be evaluated using these forms and criteria.
