Biography:  

Jason Solomon taught music theory, composition, and guitar at several colleges in Georgia before coming to Western Carolina University, where he teaches theory, aural skills, and the history of rock music. His research interests include spatialization, transformational analysis, music perception and cognition, metaphor, popular music, and aesthetics.  Jason is a member of the Georgia Guitar Quartet—an ensemble that has released four CDs and maintains a national performance schedule.
