Don't Forget: WCU to offer memory workshop March 14
Early registration for Western Carolina University’s “What Was Your Name Again: A Memory Workshop” will be available at a reduced price until Monday, March 10.
The seminar will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, March 14, in Hospitality Room of the Ramsey Regional Activity Center.
Bill Clennan, also known as “the Memory Man,” will lead the workshop for professionals, executives, sales people, and anyone else who wants to make a good impression by never forgetting a name.
Clennan has given more than 10,000 presentations and has shared the stage with several prominent speakers and personalities, including Mickey Mantle and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale.
A member of the Speaker’s Hall of Fame, Clennan has led meetings for such organizations as The Million Dollar Round Table and The National Automobile Dealers Association.
Using a number of proven techniques, audience participation and a heavy dose of humor, Clennan will show participants how to improve business and personal contacts by making lasting impressions.
Clennan said participants in the workshops will learn to attend a meeting of 50-70 people and remember the name of each person in the room. “If you want to have enormous and immediate influence with any group, the best thing you can do is remember all their names,” he said.
Cost for the seminar is $199 per person until March 10 or $249 after March 10.
Special discounts are available to members of area Chambers of commerce. Seating is limited.
For information or to register, visit the Web site http://learn.wcu.edu/ or call (828) 227-7397 or toll free (800) 928-4968.
