Mission Statement

The mission of the CEAP Instructional Technology Center is to support and enhance the professional preparation of teacher education candidates in the College of Education and Allied Professions and the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as all students, faculty and staff in the CEAP. The ITC will be staffed by work-study students who will provide facility oversight and assistance with class-related technology projects and assignments.

E-Classrooms
Killian 268 was divided into two rooms before Spring semester, 2007. Killian 268 A is a Macintosh lab with 20 computers; 268 B is a PC lab with 26 computers. Both rooms are equipped with an instructor's station and ceiling-mounted projector.

To schedule either room, request it through R25:

  1. Go to the R25 WebViewer
  2. Click on the "Locations"link in the top left
  3. Type   KL 268  in the search box on the right and click "Go"
  4. Click the "view events" link for the lab you want
  5. Look through the calendar for the day and time you want to schedule.  Click on that block of time.
  6. Type in your WCU e-mail username and password
  7. Fill out the form with all the information on your event and click "Next..." at the bottom
  8. If everything is correct, click "Submit request"

Laptop Carts
Three laptop carts are available for checkout. Both have wireless laptops for use in classes. You need to obtain the key to the cart from Lee Nickles or Carla Parrish in Killian 135.

Availability for

  • Laptop Cart 1 (12 MacBooks - automatically boot to Windows XP, optionally to OS X)
  • Laptop Cart 2 (12 MacBooks - automatically boot to Windows XP, optionally to OS X)
  • Laptop Cart 3 (14 Dell PC laptops)

IDEA Station
The ITC hosts an IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Entitled Access) saion. The station includes a PC computer, Braille printer, Braille keyboard and standard keyboard with Braille overlays and oversized characters, adjustable workstation, desk chair and a variety of software designed to accommodate individuals with various physical needs.
