M.A.Ed. Degree Program
If you already have a teaching license but would like an advanced degree, the Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) was designed for you.
The program leading to the M.A.Ed. degree in comprehensive education requires a minimum of 36 semester hours of graduate study consisting of a professional core of 18 hours and a concentration in a major area consisting of 18 hours. Each of the concentrations leads to a recommendation for Advanced Competencies licensure from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
Concentrations are available in the following disciplines: Art, biology, chemistry, English, mathematics, music, physical education, and social sciences.
