2012 Foreign Language Contest

Western Carolina University's thirtieth annual Foreign Language Contest for high school students will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Western Carolina's Ramsey Center. 

The Modern Foreign Languages department sponsors this annual foreign language competition for regional high school students.  The contest is designed to test students' knowledge of French and Spanish, and matches individuals and teams from regional schools in various categories and pits teams against each other in a Quiz Bowl for French and two Quiz Bowls for Spanish, one for native speakers and one for non-native speakers.

The department's students and faculty, along with volunteers from other departments on campus, serve as judges in the competition.
