Biography:

Professor Berry is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Nevada, Reno in the area of political science with a concentration in public administration and policy. He also has graduate degrees in transportation, law, public administration and policy, and political science. He is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and has over seventeen years of professional experience with the state of Nevada Division of Emergency Management. He also has served as an Assistant Municipal Court Administrator in New Jersey.

Professor Berry has compiled extensive experience in government, private industry, and non-profit organizations and has taught at four major institutions. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha national honor societies. He comes to Western Carolina University as the primary instructor of Emergency Management courses. His current research addresses the Implication of Emergency Management Policy.
