The Criminal Justice, B.S. requires 42 Liberal Studies hours, 48 major hours, and 30 elective hours. The curriculum also offers an internship (CJ/EMGT 483), a unique way to gain work experience while earning a maximum of 12 hours of academic credit.

Minor in Criminal Justice
The minor in criminal justice requires 18 hours, including CJ 250 and 15 hours of CJ electives approved by the department head.

A clinical forensics minor is offered through the School of Health Sciences.
Master or Public Affairs (MPA), Criminal Justice Concentration

MA.Ed. in Community College Teaching, Criminology Concentration
Through the Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations, WCU offers a two-year college teaching degree in criminology and a variety of other academic majors, pending approval by academic discipline advisers.
