ProfitCents, a Web-based financial analysis software tool, provides small business owners with financial feedback in straightforward language that doesn’t require advanced training in finance to understand, said Wendy R. Cagle, SBTDC regional director.
The reports present business owners with a breakdown of their company’s financial health, including trends over the last three years and comparisons to industry averages. The company’s ability to meet short-term cash needs, profitability, sales, borrowing and assets are all evaluated.
SBTDC counselors are available to help business owners use ProfitCents reports to better understand their businesses and make decisions to improve company performance. The counseling services of the SBTDC are offered at no charge.
The SBTDC, a service of Western Carolina University’s College of Business, provides comprehensive support to business owners, entrepreneurs and those engaged in economic development in 14 counties of North Carolina.
For more information about ProfitCents or the Western Regional Center of the SBTDC, call (828) 251-6025, extension 22.
