Planned Gifts
Many alumni and friends say they would like to make a significant contribution to the university, but feel they lack the resources to do so. But almost everyone has the means to make a difference through an often overlooked and misunderstood way - an estate plan.

We can show you how to make a lasting gift through your estate while also providing for family members and other charitable interests. And with the help of federal and state tax structures, your gift will be worth more than if you made an outright cash contribution.

It's easy to list WCU in your estate plan. If you're considering doing so, please list the Western Carolina University Foundation as the beneficiary. The Foundation exists solely for the purposes of soliciting, accepting, receipting, acknowledging, and disbursing contributions to Western Carolina University-related purposes.

To make certain your intent is well understood, please contact:

Jim Manring ('74), Director of Planned Giving

In addition to an estate plan, other options for giving include annuities and professorships. Please contact Jim Manring (above) to discuss your options and ideas.
