Western Carolina University’s Art Education program will offer the second annual Art Days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, Monday, Jan. 21, and Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Four students from each grade of grades 6-8 will be selected from each Jackson County school to participate.
Community members, teachers or parents can nominate students for the Art Days, which are held on days that Jackson County schools are not in session.
The focus of sessions will be: Nov. 12, fibers; Jan. 21, clay; and Jan. 23, metals. A $45 fee for the three days covers lunch, snacks and materials.
The program is supported by a grant from the Jackson County Arts Council.
Individuals may nominate a student or get more information by contacting Susan Fouts, WCU’s director of continuing education at (828) 227-3688 or sfouts@wcu.edu.
