Selected Areas of EMGE Focus
Once you’ve chosen your age group, you will need to select an area of focus.
Elementary education majors choose a Second Academic Concentration and middle grades majors choose from four subject area concentrations (PDF)—mathematics, natural science, English, and social sciences—reading, music, or physical education.
Students who successfully complete concentrations in special education are eligible for state licensure to serve children with and without disabilities from 0 to five years of age.
Master’s degrees are available in even more subject areas. With concentrations like these, you’ll be in demand to help convey the special skills our youth need to succeed in school and beyond.
