Set for 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., the program will include an exploration of the exhibit “Southern Stews: Traditions of One-Pot Cooking,” which is currently on display at the museum. Participants also will get a chance to create an apron of their own.
The event will be led by Jackson County native Dot Conner, who is known for her remarkable apron collection, and Leslie Costa, a staff member of the Mountain Heritage Center.
Designed for children ages 6 through 12, Arti-Facts! programs explore the region’s natural and cultural heritage. Attendance is free, but reservations are required. Parents are invited to attend with their children.
For reservations or more information, call the museum at (828) 227-7129.
