WCU and ICC to offer Elementary Education program
Western Carolina University, in partnership with Isothermal Community College, will offer students an opportunity to earn a bachelor of science in education degree beginning fall semester 2008.
An information session for the program will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, in the library auditorium at ICC on its campus in Spindale. The session is open to anyone interested in learning more about the program and does not require a reservation.
Prospective students should hold associate’s degrees, or have completed the majority of the general education core or liberal studies course work. Individuals who have completed college-level course work from other institutions also may transfer credit toward the teaching degree depending on transcript evaluation.
Designed for adults who intend to enroll as part-time students, all classes will be offered at ICC using on-site classroom instruction and Web-enhanced instruction.
For more information, contact WCU’s Division of Educational Outreach toll-free at (866) 928-4723 or via e-mail at distance@email.wcu.edu.
