Rebecca Graafsma
Rebecca Graafsma transferred from a private college to WCU after a visit to the university's mountain campus where she enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. With a major in physical education, she intends to teach in public schools after graduation.
As part of a group of education students who completed their internships in local elementary and middle schools, she was involved in helping children with disabilities to stay active. She said the experience was fun and rewarding because it allowed her to help her students and to apply what she's been learning in her own classes.
In addition to her studies, Rebecca is a member of the club for physical education majors and is involved with Campus Rock, an independent campus ministry.
