Meredith Silas
Meredith Silas transferred her credits from Haywood Community College when she came to WCU and now is working toward law school and a career as an attorney so that she can serve children and others who need help. In addition to her studies, Meredith was involved in a class project to teach economics and business in local schools. She is active in her sorority and worked as a team captain for Relay for Life, raising money to fight cancer.
In 2005, Meredith earned a business school award for excellence in her major and received the first Shining Star Award for her work as a Service Learning Scholar, encouraging other students to get involved in community service activities.
