The 2011 Dulcimer Winter Weekend -- January 6-9, 2011
Online registration opens September 1
Join hosts Elaine & Larry Conger for the 6th Annual Winter Weekend at Lake Junaluska sponsored by Western Carolina University. Workshops will be offered for mountain dulcimer, bowed dulcimer, and, new for this year, hammered dulcimer. Participants will be free to select from classes offered on all three instruments. Featured instructors on mountain dulcimer include Dave Haas, Joe Collins and Larry Conger; bowed dulcimer with Ken Bloom; and hammered dulcimer with Anne Lough and Ruth Smith. Additional elective classes will be offered by Marsha Harris, Jim Miller (our resident Master of the Jam!), Dr. Will Peebles, and Larry and Elaine, who will also lead the ensemble class.
