The Western Carolina 07 On Location Tour is a series of receptions designed to disseminate information about the college admission process to prospective undergraduate, graduate and distance students and their families. The tour is designed to help prospective students make one of the most important decisions of their lives where to go to college.
The receptions will be structured so students and parents can chat individually with university representatives who will listen and answer questions before and after a formal presentation. Whether a student is interested in our undergraduate, graduate or distance programs, experts will be available to help get them on the right path, said Brenda Holcombe, senior associate director of admission at Western.
Each reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the formal presentation scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Information stations covering admission, financial aid, orientation, computer requirements, campus housing, scholarships and fields of study will be available. The schedule:
- Monday, Sept. 24, Concord, Embassy Suites, 5400 John Q. Hammons Drive N.W.
- Tuesday, Sept. 25, Greensboro, Embassy Suites, 204 Centreport Drive
- Wednesday, Sept. 26, Raleigh, North Raleigh Hilton, 3415 Wake Forest Road
- Thursday, Sept. 27, Charlotte, Renaissance Southpark, 5501 Carnegie Blvd.
Fall on-campus house events in Cullowhee are set for Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 17.
