Creativity in Action
![]()
Western Carolina University's Theatre in Education (TIE) programs provide opportunities for regional students of all ages to experience literature, theatre, art, and music in a creative and interactive environment.
Participants in a TIE program will have the opportunity to directly engage with the live theatre performance, to join the creative journey with the theatre arts workshops, and to make interdisciplinary connections to their academic learning. Teachers receive curriculum materials relevant to the production that support specific educational goals and standards.
The mission of TIE is to present programs that are artistically excellent, educationally relevant, and socially, culturally, and environmentally literate.
