Who am I?
I was born and raised in what used to be a small town called Mooresville, NC. I graduated from Mooresville Senior High School and came to Western in 2002. At Western I earned my bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations. I also obtained a minor in marketing. Western helped me grow as a person and got me involved in both student and social organizations, allowing me to put my knowledge to use. After graduating from WCU I found it hard to leave the area. I was excited to join the Admissions team to share with others what Western can offer them.

Why Western?
I choose Western because of the beautiful location. I always loved vacationing in the mountains and having the chance to live here was a dream come true. Western was not what I expected at first but after meeting new people, getting involved with my classes, and getting to know the area I fell in love with the campus. I enjoyed and have kept a relationship with my professors and classmates. Western has opened my eyes and given me the experience and knowledge that I would not have gotten anywhere else. There was always someone there to guide me in the right direction. Western Carolina University is my home away from home.
