Western’s Master of Public Affairs Program provides advanced education for managers, executives and other leaders looking for career development, while helping students prepare for leadership and management positions. The program offers classes during the evening and on-line, with classes held in Asheville and Cullowhee.
“Graduates of the MPA program are working at the executive level in city and county government across the state, including in Macon County,” said Gordon Mercer, a Franklin resident and professor in the program. “Government employees at the county, city and federal level, as well as those with nonprofits and other nongovernmental agencies, are especially encouraged to drop by to hear about the program.”
