Who am I?
Have you ever met anyone from tiny Hayesville, N.C.? Well, you have now. I grew up in that lovely little mountain town hard by the Georgia state line, from whence I came to study at Western in 2001. Four years later I earned my bachelor’s degree in communication with a concentration in public relations. Currently, I am studying for my master’s in college student personnel. I’ve worked in the Admission Office for two years now, and I love to share the good news about Western with prospective students.

Why Western?
It was the amazing number of opportunities available at Western that drew me here. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew that coming to Western would give me so much from which to choose. Once I got here, this place swept me up into a world of studies, social life, and expanding opportunities. I was elected president of the Public Relations Student Society of America and I was active in other organizations as well. The support from Western’s faculty and staff kept me on a path of steady personal and professional achievement.
