As part of the Dec. 2 WCU Night at the Dillsboro Lights and Luminaries, Dillsboro merchants donated a percentage of their sales to CARE, a humanitarian organization fighting poverty in more than 70 countries around the world, in support of the WCU Poverty Project.
Internet workshops for seniors set for Nov. 29-30
WCU's Department of Communication is collaborating with the Jackson County Department on Aging to offer Internet communication workshops for seniors on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and Wednesday, Nov. 30.

On a mid-November afternoon, a small-scale fishing derby was under way at WCU as three boys working with recreational therapy students took turns casting flies for trout.
