Federal Government

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF)
This law enforcement organization within the United States Department of Treasury is dedicated to reducing violent controlled substances. It also works with major international organizations on matters relating to international drug control programs.

Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS)
"The official primary source of criminal justice statistics for the United States.  The office collects and analyzes information relating to criminal offenders, victims of crime and financial and institutional structures."

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
The DEA enforces the country's laws and regulations for controlled substances. It also works with major international organizations on matters relating to international drug control programs.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
"Offers details of the history, famous cases and current activities of the FBI.  It includes recent press releases relating to wanted persons, ongoing cases, police investigative techniques, and detailed crime statistics."

Federal Bureau of Prisons
This site contains information about prisons, including facts and statistics on state and federal prison population, etc.

Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)
The FLETC is a partnership of federal law enforcement organizations that provides quality and cost effective training for law enforcement professionals.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service
"An international criminal justice information network supporting policymakers and criminal justice professionals."  Provides information about their services, publications and products.

Guardians of the nation's borders, the US Customs Service enforces the laws of the United States and fosters lawful international trade and travel. The site contains information on import and export laws, traveler information, and alerts.

United States Department of Justice
The largest law firm in the nation.  The Department of Justice serves as counsel for US citizens.

US Marshals Service
America's oldest federal law enforcement agency. It protects the federal courts and ensures effective operation of the judicial system.

US Secret Service
This agency is charged with protecting the US President, the Vice President and their immediate families.  It also investigates certain criminal violations relating to the security of the country.

US Treasury Department
Manages the government's finances, promotes a stable economy, and ensures a safer America.
