The DHS is made up of several federal agencies, and is primarily concerned with the protection of Americans from terrorist attacks and natural disasters. Also available at the DHS website are links to the National Critical Infrastructure Protection Research & Development Plan, the Countermeasures Portfolio,and Publications which include reports, plans, strategies, federal register notices, and newsletters.

Homeland Security Links (Long Island University at Riverhead)
The university's Homeland Security Management Institute website contains an extensive list of links that cover a variety of subjects ranging from homeland security and terrorism to information on the Arab world through al-bab.com, Al-Jazeera.com, and other websites about the religion of Islam. Also available are links to the US Airforce's Air War College Gateway to Intelligence and the US Army Intelligence and Security Command websites.
