The Virtual Computing Lab (VCL) system allows Kimmel School students to access software located in our classrooms and labs from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, all year long. This allows students to work on homework and class projects without having to come on campus to utilize one of the lab computers.

Academics & Research
The Kimmel School is home to two of the fastest growing and highly technical departments at Western Carolina University. The School’s distinguished faculty are widely known for their experience and expertise in their respective fields.
The Department of Engineering and Technology is home to majors in electrical and computer engineering technology, electrical engineering, and engineering technology. It also is home to the Masters of Science in Technology.
The Department of Construction Management houses the undergraduate major in construction management and an online Masters in Construction Management.
