Most students try to search databases just as they would an Internet search engine, but there are some significant things you should know about keyword searches and other search features that will help make your searches more productive. There are also some things you should know about ERIC.
If you are trying to access databases from off campus, you will be prompted for your name and student identification number. If you are not a current WCU student, you may access ERIC, Academic Search Premier, and more through NC LIVE. Contact your public library for access.
If you already have a citation or list of citations of articles you want to find, your best bet is to search the Library Catalog by journal title. Most of our journal content is available online for faculty and staff.
You can also browse electronic journals, newspapers and magazines by title or by subject.
Need Help? On campus or off, Ask a Librarian or contact your Education Liaison.
