This is a great resource for background information and criticism excerpts, and for most entries, there is an “Additional Resources” tab with recommended websites.

Still the gold standard in search engines. Be sure to evaluate the websites you find. See Hunter Library’s Guide to Evaluating Websites.
Del.icio.us
A social bookmarking site that allows you to search for websites that other people have bookmarked (and assigned labels -- tags). The site allows you to create a list of bookmarks that you can access from any computer and if you wish, share with others.
Google Scholar
Still in Beta and results are a little messy. Some scholarly journals are considered open access and can be read for free online. For more organized results and more comprehensive searching for articles, try some of our library databases. Remember that the library provides many resources that are not usually free on the web, especially when you are looking for scholarly literary criticism. Interlibrary Loan is also a free service that the library provides. Don’t get out your credit card! If you are using Google Scholar on campus, you may see a link to “Find In Print at WNCLN,” which means you may find a print or online version through Hunter Library.
