Professional Experiences and Affiliations:
Ms. Roberts has 23 years of professional experience in several areas of interior design. She also has specialized in retail design of apparel stores for Sara Lee in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and worked for retail design firms in Columbus, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. Her projects include such recognized retailers as Champion-Hanes Activewear, L’eggs-Hanes-Bali-Playtex, Champion Factory Outlet, Just My Size, Servistar, I Goldberg, The Good Guys!, Lane Bryant, Paper Moon, K.G. Marx Paper, Party Outlet, Daisy Pet Center, E. M. Smith Jewelers, various hardware and home centers, and Sears in Mexico.
Other design projects include Chase Manhattan Banks and Chi-Chi’s Mexican Restaurants, including space planning, interior finishes, and furnishings.
Currently Ms. Roberts is a certified Aging in Place Specialist with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with research and practice in place, home modifications, and healthy homes. She also is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) where she has held various board positions.
