This handbook is an introduction to our college and the teacher education undergraduate programs we offer.
How do you know if this is a really good teacher education program? WCU has prepared teachers for over 100 years and poor programs don’t last. As you progress through our programs you will, from the first course on, be working in classrooms with practicing teachers. Ask these teachers where they got their teacher training because most of Western North Carolina’s top educators went to WCU. Finally, the accreditation of programs is extremely important and Western’s education programs are fully accredited at the state, regional, and national level.
