I am sure you will agree with us while many things at WCU have stayed the same, there have also been changes since you and I graduated.
With those reflections fresh in your mind, we would like to ask you to help us revive the philanthropic sprit of our era by taking part in The 80s Strike Back-an effort by graduates of the 1980s to increase support of Western Carolina University. Class of 1987 this is a special opportunity for you to celebrate your 25th Anniversary Year!
Without more scholarships, study abroad opportunities, and athletic support just to name a few, our students will not receive the same level of education and experiences enjoyed by those that graduated before them. In fact, unless more scholarships and university support are made available, some students will not even have a chance to become a Catamount.
What you give today will help determine the future of so many extraordinary students. You will also help preserve the tradition of excellence that has remained the hallmark of a degree from Western Carolina University.
