Assessment of Training Needs - for the business or organization in need of a clear vision of staff development needs.  A qualified consultant can come on site to help you make the most effective use of allotted staff development time and money.  

Computer Training - WCU's Division of Educational Outreach houses two computer classrooms (each holds 24 computers).  Custom courses can be designed to suit your technological needs.  The Division of currently provides practical hands-on workshops to introduce beginning computer skills, and specifically, to introduce skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Netscape. These workshops include a take-home manual.

Professional Development - Contact us to develop courses to match the professional/employee development needs of your organization.  Being a part of Western Carolina University affords the Division of Educational Outreach the opportunity to make use of the huge pool of expertise and talent connected with and drawn to the institution.

Video Conferencing classrooms are available - an interactive television classroom (Community Link, seats 30), as well as a distance learning theater (seats 35) and a distance learning conference room (seats 6-12).  We can tailor any class to the interactive television medium in order to make training and staff development more convenient and possibly more feasible for your organization.
