The WCU Cross Training Challenge encourages participants to diversify their workout and improve their overall health and fitness. You will be rewarded a prize once you achieve 100% of the goals in three exercise categories of your choosing. So sign up now and start getting fit! The challenge begins January 9th and ends March 30, 2012. You may register at any time. Anyone can participate in this challenge, you do not have to be a CRC member.
The Cross Training Challenge 2012 goals are as follows:
Stepper/Step Mill - 10 hours
Swimming - 6 hours
Running/Walking - 12 hours
Rowing - 6 hours
Group eXercise - 15 classes
Elliptical - 12 hours
Recreational Activity - 30 hours
Strength Training (1/2 hour/day)* - 16 days
Intramurals/Club Sports - 12 Activities
Cycling - 12 hours
Climbing/Bouldering - 10 hours
*There are no limitations on how many activities or hours you participate within one day with the exception of Strength Training. You can only count one 1/2 hour session each day (example: if you strength train for an hour you cannot count it as two 1/2 hour sessions, you only get credit for one 1/2 hour that day).
To sign up, stop by the Campus Recreation Center to fill out a registration form and pick up your training log.
