The Office of Military Education
To carry out its commitment to you, the military student, Western Carolina University has established an Office of Military Education. This office is dedicated to facilitating the higher learning experience of active duty, reserve, National Guard, separated, and retired military members, as well as the spouses and college-aged children of these military members. The Office of Military Education provides information and guidance on general and military-specific tasks such as: 1) application, admission, and course registration, 2) how to process military tuition assistance, vocational-rehabilitation, and GI Bill funds, and 3) how to receive transfer credit for military training and experience.
The Director of Military Education serves as a liaison between the military student and the university’s various academic departments and student support offices. He may be reached via the following means:
