ClassTIPS

Located in the Technology Commons, ClassTIPS provides students the opportunity to enhance their software education through one-on-one assistance, in-class training, workshops, virtual podcasts and tutorials. ClassTIPS also provides access to equipment such as video cameras, Netbooks, iPods and voice recorders (see complete list below). Working with our resources and trained staff,  ClassTIPS can help students gain the confidence they need to produce professional work for the classroom, assignments, eBriefcase and their future profession.

Services We Provide

In-Class Presentations and Training
ClassTIPS provides in-class presentations on IT services for students, the Technology Commons learning area, and the software training resources it offers. Specialized in-class training, presentations and consultations can be scheduled by instructors who wish to assist their students in the planning and preparation of multimedia projects that are a part of their course requirements.

One-on-One Student Training and Open Attendance Workshops
ClassTIPS offers several opportunities for students interested in various software training. Staffed with more than 25 peer instructors skilled in a variety of software programs, ClassTIPS can match the skill set sought with the appropriate trainer. Introductory, intermediate and advanced workshops for larger groups are also available throughout the semester.

eBriefcase Workshops
eBriefcase is a tool that allows students to integrate all of your college experiences (course work and extracurricular activities) into a create an online portfolio designed that will represent them upon graduation, help land their dream career or to make it into graduate school.  eBriefcase is currently available to a limited group of students.
