Dennis J. McKevlin Memorial Graduate Award
This annual award recognizes outstanding achievement by a graduate student in English. Recipients of this award must be a full-time graduate English (degree-seeking) student having completed at least 18 hours of course work; all such students are eligible and are considered automatically by the awards committee (no application necessary). The award is decided by ballot and voted on by English faculty. The recipient receives an award certificate, has his or her name engraved upon the award plaque located in the English office, and usually (depending upon funding available in the award) receives a monetary award.
Theodore L. Huguelet Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award
This award honors excellence as a graduate teaching assistant in the English Department. All English graduate teaching assistants are eligible and are considered automatically by the awards committee (no application necessary). The recipient receives an award certificate, has his or her name engraved upon the award plaque located in the English office, and usually (depending upon funding available in the award) receives a monetary award.
