Funding Sources for Graduate Students
In addition to your financial aid package, there are a variety of other funding sources that can help you pay for graduate school, including:
Graduate Assistantships
Teaching, research, and writing positions are assigned to top graduate students. Each assistantship carries a stipend amount for both the fall and spring semesters. Tuition waivers are approved by the Graduate School in conjunction with the academic colleges.

Graduate Grants, Fellowships, & Awards
Outstanding graduate students are recognized through a variety of awards, including the Chancellor’s Fellowship.
Other Scholarships
Additional funds may be available through private organizations and other governmental groups.
Academic Common Market (ACM)
If you’re applying to WCU from out of state, you may be able to pay in-state tuition rates.
