Resident Student Success (RSS) is the unit within the department of Residential Living that exists to help students who live on campus to reach their academic goals. RSS Graduate Assistants live in the residence halls to provide easy access to academic resources. Much of their time is spent on the floors getting to know the students and building relationships with them. We encourage residents to be quality students who are focused on making the most of their college experience. Recognizing that academic difficulty can arise from a variety of bases, not necessarily related to academic skill, RSS grads can help talk students through the difficulty they are experiencing and determine if there are underlying causes. RSS grads can then help students find and take advantage of the campus resources available to assist them.
