Career-Oriented Coursework
Whether you’re heading to the boardroom, classroom, or the lab, you’ll find hands-on programs to take your career to the next level. WCU offers programs leading to 15 master’s degrees in more than 50 professional and academic areas, including our renowned programs in entrepreneurship, teacher education, project management, physical therapy, and nursing.
Flexible, Convenient Class Schedules
Graduate studies often means juggling work, family, and coursework. At WCU, our course offerings fit your busy schedule. Our programs are designed with the adult professional student in mind, with courses taught during late afternoons, evenings, and weekends on both the Cullowhee and Asheville campuses. We also offer online distance learning courses.
Personal Attention from Expert Faculty
There’s nothing “ivory tower” about our professors and instructors. While they boast impressive academic credentials, they also know how to apply their knowledge to the real world. And, because our average graduate class size is 11 and our student to faculty ratio is 6:1, you can be sure you will never feel like just a face in the crowd.
Support to Guide You on Your Way
From financial aid to help with career placement and professional licensing, you’ll find the support you need to achieve your goals. For students who live on campus, WCU offers a comfortable living-learning environment, while commuter students will find a host of resources available at our student center. And more support services are available through WCU programs in Asheville and the Division of Educational Outreach. You can also meet with your fellow graduate students through events sponsored by the Graduate Student Association.
