Construction : Pieced by hand. Unquilted. Top contains printed flour sacks. Backing attached is made of 4 equal sized panels. Trademark on one panel reads: "Ubiko Milling Company/Cincinnati, Ohio/16 % Clover Bloom."
Quiltmaker : Alice Minerva Enloe Dills (b 1859, d 1943; married 1876 William Allen Dills, founder of Dillsboro, NC)
Locale : Dillsboro, NC
History/Comments : Ubiko was a poultry feed developer. In Lexington, KY in 1939, they sold products locally through Blue Grass Elmendorf Grain Corporation.
