Undergraduate Honors: Undergraduate students may be designated as Summa, Magna, or Cum Laude based on their final cumulative GPA. This designation appears on the diploma.
Honors Cords: Students designated Summa, Magna or Cum Laude are identified as such in the commencement bulletin and allowed to wear a gold honors cord at commencement. Honors cords are distributed at commencement rehearsal. To accommodate printing deadlines, the Summa, Magna or Cum Laude designations for commencement reflect the cumulative GPA at the end of the semester prior to graduation. These designations may change once final grades have been posted and reviewed.
Honors College Diploma & Medallion: Students in the Honors College who complete Honors College Requirements will receive an Honors College Diploma and are allowed to wear an Honors College medallion during commencement. Honors College medallions are distributed by the Honors College several days prior to commencement.
University Scholars: Undergraduates who start as Freshmen and complete their bachelors degree without a break in enrollment (other than summer) and who achieve a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA will be designated University Scholar.
