Research Interests
Tommy is interested in the teaching and learning of mathematics in grades K-8. In particular, his research centers on how middle grades teachers view their roles as teachers of mathematics in relation to local and global expectations of mathematics instruction.

Tommy and his wife Jennifer live in Dillsboro, NC with their two boys and girl on the way.
