| The ‘Red Zone’ refers to the period of time early in the first or second year at college during which women are thought to be at particularly high risk for unwanted sexual experiences. At Western Carolina, we are working to reduce the risk of women experiencing unwanted sexual contact by raising awareness of the issue on campus and promoting healthy relationships.
