The camp is designed for an adult and child to enjoy together while learning the art and science of geocaching, a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. Geocachers can place a geocache anywhere in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology, and then share the geocache’s existence and location online for others to find.
“This is a great learning experience and a lot of fun for parents or grandparents to share with a child,” said Susan Fouts, director of continuing education at WCU.
GPS units will be provided for use during the camp.
The cost of the class is $89 for one adult and one child under 12. The cost for one adult is $59.
