Commencement Ceremonies are held in May and December. Summer candidates may participate in the December ceremony.

Students must apply for graduation and be approved by the Registrar’s Office in order to participate in commencement.  

Ceremonies are un-ticketed events.  Detailed information about the next commencement ceremony is available on the Day of Graduation Ceremony page.

Diplomas:  Students will receive a Western Carolina University diploma cover on stage at commencement. The actual diploma will be mailed approximately 6-8 weeks after the ceremony.
