Does your organization link its continuous improvement to projects? This course will focus on the measurement of an organization’s project management maturity and the linking of an organization’s continuous improvement efforts to the successful accomplishment of it strategic goals though projects.  In this course students will:

• Examine the origins of maturity models and the components of project quality management
• Analyze the relationship between continuous improvement and organizational project management maturity
• Compare and contrast the project management maturity models of Harold Kerzner and the Project Management Institute.
• Conduct an organizational project management maturity assessment

Instructor: Jeanne E. Dorle, Ph. D., PMP

Dr. Jeanne Dorle is an assistant professor in the Management and International Business Department at Western Carolina University, where she directs the Project Management Graduate Programs.  For the 2005-2006 academic year, she was the University of Quebec Fulbright Research Chair in Project Management in Gatineau, Quebec.  She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinction, a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D. form William Mitchell College of Law.  Dr. Dorle received her PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and is a PMI® Certified OPM3® (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model) Assessor and Consultant.

Dr. Dorle is an educator, consultant and corporate trainer with more than 20 years experience providing customize solutions to corporate and university clients.  She is experienced in directing a PMO, implementing enterprise project management frameworks and creating portfolios of strategic projects.  Dr. Dorle is skilled in designing and delivering synchronous and asynchronous online instruction.  The graduate programs she directs at Western are delivered totally online.
