The Great Life Series, a collaboration between Western Carolina University and Pardee Hospital, will offer “Working as You Age: Retooling, Finding and Landing the Right Job,” from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 22.
The presentation will take place at the Pardee Health Education Center at the Blue Ridge Mall, 1800 Four Seasons’ Blvd. in Hendersonville.
Peggy Collins, Job Link coach, author and national speaker, and Susan Stewart, personal fashion consultant and regional governor of Toastmasters, will share their strategies for landing the right job for those considering a career change, volunteer work, part-time or full-time work.
Participants will learn how to search for the right job, refresh a resume and establish references. Attitude, motivation, proper interview techniques, and the value of networking and follow-up also will be discussed.
The cost of the workshop is $22.
