World of Music and Jazz Appreciation
MUS 303 Worlds of Music will be offered in the minimester. This course explores a variety of musical traditions around the world, and will have a component of playing the instruments of Indonesian gamelan (a traditional percussion orchestra). No prior experience is necessary. This course meets the P6 World Cultures requirement. Taught by Dr. Christina Reitz.
MUS 304 Jazz Appreciation will be offered during the first summer session as a traditional course and during the second session as an on-line course. This course meets the P5 Fine Arts requirement. The traditional course will be taught by Don Miller, and the on-line course by Stephen Wohlrab.
