Submission of Information for Student Awards and Accolades
Spring 2011

WCU’s Office of Public Relations routinely sends news releases about student honors and research presentations to students’ hometown/local newspapers. Before we can do that for you, we first need for you to send us some information via the online form indicated below.

Student Photos

The Public Relations Office also can send photographs of students to their hometown/local newspapers to accompany the news releases. Students who wish to take advantage of that service are invited to come to Room 420 in H.F. Robinson Administration Building to have their photographs taken between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on one of these days:

  • Wednesday, April 6
  • Wednesday, April 20
  • Wednesday, May 4

Students with scheduling conflicts that prevent them from taking advantage of these photo sessions may make a special appointment to have a photograph taken by calling the Public Relations photography office at 828-227-3081.

Students’ personal photos will be considered for use, depending on quality. Head-and-shoulders shots may be e-mailed to the address below.

And now, we ask that you submit your information with this online form. (Special note for students who are receiving awards/scholarships at one of the college/school awards programs: You should complete and submit this form AFTER your awards ceremony is held.)
